Shadowcast Radio
A Snapshot of Christianity in Nazi Germany
We're back! Sorry for the unannounced pause in show releases. Life got busy, and recording got pushed aside. To accommodate for our generally busy schedules, and because of the time it takes to prep and edit shows, we have decided as a team to release an episode once a month moving forward. We'll now start to release an episode on the first Thursday of each month.
On today's episode of Shadowcast Radio we discuss what Christianity was like during the time of Nazi occupied Germany. In simple terms, there was good, and there was much bad. There was some faithfulness, but a lot of compromise. From the bold few like Bonhoeffer, to the multitudes of Christians singing hymns to drown out the noises of trains carrying Jews to concentration camps, the time of the rise of the Third Reich is a humble tale in Church history, and it's one we cannot ignore. History is doomed to repeat itself when we fail to learn from the past. Join us as we discuss the landscape of Christianity under one of the harshest regimes in world history, Hitler's Germany.
